I just did Murph today

I finished Murph about 1 1/2 hours ago and I'm feeling okay. It's currently 3:30 pm on April 25th in Deerfield Beach, FL, USA. The temperature feels like 86 degrees, which is pretty hot for this workout, but I'm used to working out at the same time every day, so it wasn't too difficult for me as an average athlete who works out about 5 times a week and is 54 years old, I missed my workout yesterday, so I decided to do Murph with a 20-pound weighted vest today. I also do enduro single trail and some tactical training, and I believe that breaking up Murph into smaller rounds will be more effective for my additional training.

My workout consisted of 4 rounds of 400-meter runs, plus 5 timesΒ 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups, and 15 air squats, followed by a 1-mile run at the end. Although some might say that this isn't the traditional Murph workout, the exercises are the same, and I believe that every workout should be tailored to your goals.

During my workout,in the first round I focused on maintaining good form and pacing myself to avoid exhaustion. In the second round, I felt a surge of excitement and had to regulate my breathing to avoid burning out too quickly. By the third round, I began to struggle with the push-ups but persevered and made it through. During the fourth round, I was inspired to finish strong, and I did so successfully.

However, during the final mile run, I realized that I had not taken into account the mile run at the end of the workout. I had been focused on finishing the exercises and neglected to prepare myself mentally for the last leg of the workout. I had to stop and walk for about half a mile, which was disappointing, but I know I can do better next time.Β

In conclusion, if you're planning on doing Murph, be prepared to push your body to its limits and stay hydrated. It can also be helpful to find a workout partner to motivate each other. However, the most crucial aspect of the workout is mental toughness and the ability to push through any obstacles that may arise.

Remember to wear comfortable gear that is appropriate for the workout, and if you're interested, we offer quality and affordable weight vests and hand grips that are perfect for Murph. Good luck on your next Murph, and always remember to take it one step at a time.
